Can I use any color of safety can for gas?
No. OSHA requires flammables with a flash point below 80 degrees F (27 degrees C) be in a red colored can with a yellow band. Typical industry convention is red = gasoline, yellow = diesel, blue = kerosene, and green = oil.
Is the 5/8-inch flexible metal hose measurement for inner diameter or outer diameter of the hose?

Are there maintenance requirements for Type 2 safety cans?
