Constructed of sturdy, long-lasting aluminum, the system features a durable, poly safety shield on a slide bar to minimize the potential for spray back during operation. The two-stage high-efficiency combination filter prevents potentially harmful VOCs from release into the air.

The Aerosolv 6000 Plus is easy to use. Its puncturing unit accepts industry standard sized cans with a maximum height of 8.5-in (215-mm). Screw directly into a standard 2-in (51-mm) bung on a 30- (110-liter) or 55-gallon (200-liter) drum. A simple push of the handle activates a non-sparking pin to puncture the can. The residual liquids flow into the collection drum. One 55-gallon (200-liter) drums holds the drained contents of approximately 4,000 spent aerosol cans. Durable, poly safety shield on slide bar minimizes the potential for spray back should operator error occur during can insertion.

The system’s two-stage high-efficiency combination filter base screws into the ¾-in (19-mm) bung and retains any escaping propellants. Replaceable, proprietary polymer coalescer in filter base captures the residual liquid in the gas before it reaches the activated carbon, helping extend filter life by 33%, reducing change outs to save time and money. The top activated carbon filter cartridge features adsorption indicator which reacts to the adsorption of VOCs to indicate when the filter cartridge is ready for replacement. The Aerosolv 6000 Plus aerosol can recycling system also includes safety goggles, as well an anti-static ground wire with alligator clip to prevent static buildup by properly grounding the device.

Punctured, discharged-cans do not meet the definition of hazardous waste per EPA 40 CFR 261.23(a)(6), and thus can be treated as recyclable scrap metal. It is EPA compliant and meets OSHA definition of closed container by leaving the last drained aerosol can clamped into the puncturing unit.
