The breakthrough indicator is a qualitative colorimetric indicator used to determine the useful life of the activated carbon filters used in the VaporTrap™ solvent waste systems. Designed to provide real-time indication of the breakthrough of HPLC solvents vapors in the carbon filter, the indicator changes its color to red when the filter needs to be replaced.
