NFPA 30A: 3.3.13 Safety Can

A listed container of not more than 5.3 gal (20 L) capacity having a spring-closing lid and spout cover, and so designed that it will safely relieve internal pressure when subjected to fire exposure.

NFPA 30A: 6.3.2 Dispensing Devices for Class I and Class II Liquids

Dispensing devices for Class I and Class II liquids shall be listed.

NFPA 30A: 9.7.5.3 Fuel Drained From Vehicle Tanks

Fuel drained from vehicle tanks that is not to be disposed of shall be stored in approved safety cans or returned to standard underground storage tanks.
