Description

The Justrite DynaLoc Type 2 Explosive Storage Outdoor Magazine Model EL201 provides strong and secure outdoor storage for ordinance and munitions, black powder, propellants and other explosives. The EL201 outdoor storage magazine offers superior construction for peace-of-mind and is designed to meet and exceed ATF 27 CFR Part 555 and OSHA 29 CFR requirements.

The magazine is constructed of 1/4” steel plate lined with 1/2" non-sparking plywood to reduce the risk of accidental ignition and support a safer storage environment. For added security, the EL201 features heavy-duty side hinges and a lockrod closure system with a durable lock hasp to prevent tampering when the magazine is locked.

Exterior and interior surfaces of the EL201 are protected with a modified phenolic alkyd resin base coat and an acrylic alkyd enamel topcoat. This high-performance finish ensures chemical resistance and provides protection against abrasion, corrosion, and UV damage.

For secure explosives transportation to job sites, use our EL511 Day Box.

Note: High and low explosives that are placed in outdoor magazines should have a grounding system according to the NFPA 70 NEC standard. Grounding protects your magazine and its contents against lightning strikes. Proper grounding should be performed by a licensed electrician. Our 915505 Grounding Rod Kit is available separately. For more information, please refer to NFPA.

Applications

The DynaLoc Type 2 Explosive Storage Outdoor Magazine offers strong protection for a wide range of applications, including:

The ATF specifies a commercial grade, case-hardened padlock with a minimum of 5 tumblers padlock for all storage magazines. Get our 96010125 ATF-compliant padlock.

NOTE:
Explosive storage magazines will NOT contain a blast inside the unit. Explosive storage magazines work as a safeguard against theft and accidental detonation due to improper storage and environmental conditions.
