Justrite safety cabinets are designed to store flammable and combustible liquids used in In Flammable Liquid Safety Cabinets or hazardous materials Hazardous Material Safety Cabinets. Justrite safety cabinets can be used to store a wide range of potentially hazardous substances, including flammable and combustible liquids or hazardous materials such as acids, corrosives, and bases oxidizers.

In the event of a fire, safety cabinets are engineered to maintain a temperature inside the cabinet below 326⁰F for a period of 10 minutes in a violent fire. This performance criterion is considered conservative to the autoignition temperature to 99% of the materials being stored. 

As such, safety storage cabinets from Justrite are manufactured to help facilities achieve regulatory compliance required by OHSA US Federal Labor Law, MSHA Federal Mine Safety and Health Administration Law, the NFPA 30 Flammable and Combustible Liquids Code, NFPA 1 Fire Code, NFPA 400 Hazardous Material Code, and the IFC International Fire Code.

Flammable liquid safety cabinets from Justrite are designed to comply with OSHA standard CFR 29 1910.106 Flammable Liquids and NFPA 30 of the Flammable and Combustible Liquids Code stipulate certain design features that flammable liquid safety cabinets should have to mitigate the impact of a facility fire and to house other flammable liquids such as fuels, solvents, paint, pesticides, etc.

Flammable liquid safety cabinets feature an 18-gauge thick, welded steel construction that will protect flammable and combustible materials liquids from ignition sources. These cabinets are required to have the warning label FLAMMABLE KEEP FIRE AWAY.

Safety cabinets are available with IFC-compliant self-close doors designed to close in the event of a fire for maximum storage protection. Cabinets are also available with manual-close doors open to a full 180 degrees and self-latch when pushed closed. All flammable liquid cabinets include a ten-year warranty.

Red paint & ink safety cabinets will safely store all classifications of flammable liquids. They are specially designed with extra shelving for smaller gallon, quart, and pint-size containers with typical paints and inks. 

The patented SpillSlope® galvanized steel shelves of Justrite safety cabinets are designed to direct spills to the back and bottom of a sump, which is particularly helpful for paint storage. The fire-resistant design of these cabinets makes them ideal for storing paint cans, aerosols, or inks used for printing operations.

Many pesticides are flammable liquids or in aerosols cans and must be stored as flammable liquids. But, they are highly toxic too. Justrite provides this cabinet with two warning labels: “FLAMMABLE KEEP FIRE AWAY” and “PESTICIDE”.

Improperly stored pesticides not only pose a potential threat of fire but, a threat to the health and safety of personnel.

Pesticide safety cabinets from Justrite will safely contain these substances in order to protect property, personnel, and the environment. All pesticide cabinets from Justrite are FM approved and come with a ten-year warranty.

These cabinets are designated with an additional warning label; FLAMMABLE WASTE in addition to the FLAMMABLE KEEP FIRE AWAY and are designed to keep our customer’s satellite waste accumulation center per the EPA in compliance with the fire codes and OSHA when collecting flammable liquid waste.

Hazardous materials safety cabinets from Justrite are designed to comply with NFPA 400 Hazardous Material Code, NFPA 1 Fire Code, and International Fire Code (IFC). While of the same specifications as flammable liquid safety cabinets, all hazardous material safety cabinets these codes require all cabinets to be self-close cabinets and require a warning label; “HAZARDOUS KEEP FIRE AWAY”. Justrite provides these cabinets with poly shelf trays and sump liners.
